"I'm inspired by things that make me laugh because of their physicality – for example, an unwieldy shopping trolley lurching around, a pipe bent into a funny shape or a tiny puny dog scampering over the pavement. I like to draw characters based on these observations, using line to explore form and rhythm. My aim is to create images with unusual or unexpected elements, which comment on the stranger things found in everyday life."
